Expatriate Housing Assessment
Energy
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Solutions
Challenge
A multinational client had won a contract to support a number of energy-related initiatives. The firm had 30 days to arrange housing for its expatriate management team. Having never worked in Saudi Arabia previously, the client needed a partner with local knowledge of the real estate market and knowledge of local practices to rapidly acquire housing and avoid any delays or complications during the project start phase.
Solution
An Madison Springfield team supported by local nationals was assigned to survey suitable neighborhoods for expatriate housing. These assessments covered the types of properties available, rent/price assessments, proximity and quality of area schools, availability of social activities, health care and safety/security.
Result
Madison Springfield identified suitable properties they were presented to the client. Once the properties were accepted by the client, the team facilitated the acquisition of these properties and provided other logistics support that enabled the client to meet the 30 day deadline.
Threats to Stability in the Middle East
Development and Security
Jeddah and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Research
Challenge
The client sought to conduct a baseline assessment of stability conditions in multiple countries across the Middle East. The assessment required the collection and analysis of both qualitative and quantitative data in parallel from 12 locations on a range of economic, political, development and social factors.
Solution
A team of Madison Springfield senior analysts with expertise in the region developed a framework of indicators that would be collected during the primary research phase. Madison Springfield then assembled a multinational team of more than 100 local researchers from each of the locations to be surveyed to perform the data collection. Once the data was collected, Madison Springfield analyst presented the client with a framework that would be collected against at quarterly intervals to assess stability trends in the region.
Result
Previous client attempts to develop a cross-national assessment framework had met with limited success due to the client's inability to specify the indicators most relevant for tracking stability. Experienced Madison Springfield analysts developed the indicator framework and surveys performed by indigenous research teams provided the client with the visibility needed to forecast development trends for the region.
