Challenge

A European private equity fund was considering an investment in a Chinese commercial real estate and property management firm. Prior to making an investment, the client required due diligence on the Chinese firm's portfolio of more than 100 building projects.

Solution

A local team of  Madison Springfield consultants visited each property and conducted site assessments. Buildings currently under construction were assessed for the percentage completed and anticipated completion date. Finished buildings were assessed for occupancy levels, amenities and other characteristics.

Result

The site assessments provided the client with a comprehensive overview of the portfolio of properties. The status of each building - information the client could not have obtained using internal resources - was essential for the client to make an informed investment decision.
